Ek Tha Tiger - Music Review

Music by: Sohail Sen, Sajid-Wajid

The album starts with Sajid-Wajid's Mashallah which is a nice Middle-Eastern flavored song. The drums and tambourine make the song an addictive listen. Wajid and Shreya Ghoshal helps keep the song on pace.

Laapata is the Latin influenced song of the album. It is a bit basic with the maracas, drum, and trumpets but the chorus line of "Mein laapata tu laapata" keeps the song in mind as the line is memorable.

Banjaara is a grand Irish rendition by Sukhwinder Singh and I think is the second best song of the album. The Irish bagpipe and the violins are extremely pleasing to the ears and makes one dance.

Saiyaara carries a resemblance to Teri Meri from BODYGUARD in the intro however the song seperates itself quickly with brilliant instrumentation and vocal backing by Mohit Chauhan and Tarannum Malik.

Overall, EK THA TIGER gives an international variety which is the USP however the songs are above average at best.

Mashallah - Wajid, Shreya Ghoshal 7/10
Laapata - K.K., Palak Muchhal 6/10
Banjaara - Sukhwinder Singh 7/10
Saiyaara - Mohit Chauhan, Tarannum Malik 8/10

Overall: 7.0/10
