Challo Driver - Music Review
Music By: Gaurav Dayal, Sajjad Ali
Chandwani
Kudi Pataka Driver gives us Hard Kaur after awhile since PATIALA HOUSE. The song is amateurish and Mika Singh and Hard Kaur both sound like their normal selves. The tuba and Punjabi beats are repetitive in the song which seems to be in a loop.
Dehle Pe Gulla starts with Bhangra beats. Nothing out of the ordinary here, Gaurav Dayal does sound good in his short pieces after Labh Janjua.
The start of Wakhre Wakhre Kaam sounds like a song from a girl band. The song is average at best thanks to the Gaurav Dayal but the annoying Oohs went too far.
The whistling in the beginning of Umangon Ka Karwan gave the song some personality. The female chorus behind Shaan sounds High schoolish. Was it an attempt in creating something from KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI? Raktima does deliver her lines very nicely but is not well paired with Shaan.
Ittefaq Hai Daastan Hai sounds dramatic with the opera singing and the soft strumming of the guitar. The song is touching with the flutes and old-school chorus and might be captivating on screen.
Overall, the album had a shaky start with a loopy Kudi Pataka Driver but ends with a touching song for those who likes soft dramatic songs.
Kudi Pataka Driver - Mika Singh, Hard Kaur, Gaurav Dayal - 4/10
Dehle Pe Gulla - Labh Janjua, Gaurav Dayal - 5/10
Wakhre Wakhre Kaam - Aditi Veena, Gaurav Dayal - 5/10
Umangon Ka Karwan - Shaan, Raktima - 4/10
Ittefaq Hai Daastan Hai - Shubhankar Dutta - 5/10
Overall - 4.60/10

Aalaap - Music Review
Music By: Agnee
The album starts with Ek Nayi Roshni which starts with the strumming of the guitar and the percussion coupled with Mohan's voice. The song sounds good because of Mohan but it doesn't go above anything we've heard that is rocked based and therefore doesn't stand out.
Dil Ye Awaaz De's intro is brilliant with the child artist repeating the title of the song and the male chorus in the background. The song is well sung with the chorus being impactful.
Paa Paraa Paa sounds like a piece from a Hollywood musical as the lyrics follow that formula. The guitar is once again used in this song but it is the piano trance as the song becomes soft midway.
Soniye has a nice guitar intro and then breaks into a ballad with an unexpected dhollak. It reminds me of Mitwa from KABHI ALVIDA NAA KEHNA.
Shuruwat Pyaar Ki is a good song but it doesn't have anything that makes it remarkable. It blends in with the rest of the album but was clearly not made to be a chart topper. There is not anything that I like or dislike about this song.
Chadhti Jawaani sounds like it is an item song. It is not very popping as it doesn't hook have a good chorus or interesting beat.
Overall the album doesn't have any particular song which stands out so that the album could gain some attention. The songs are good though just not memorable.
Ek Nayi Roshni - Mohan - 6/10
Dil Yeh Awaaz De - Meera Shenoy, Mohan, Varun Venkit - 7/10
Paa Paraa Paa - Nikhil D'souza,Bonnie Chakroborty, Dhruv Shrikent - 5/10
Soniye - Mohan - 6/10
Shuruwat Pyaar Ki - Yamini Lavanian, Nikhil D'souza - 5/10
Chadhti Jawaani - Kanika Joshi, Bonnie Chakroborty - 5/10
Overall - 5.67/10
