Don't Say Bollywood - Chapter 5 (Krrish 3 Trailer)

Khwabon khayalon khwaashiyon ko chehra mila, mere hone ka matlab mila koi mil gaya. Not going to lie that has been going strong since it first released and is a huge contrast to what the franchise has now become with Krrish 3. The trailer is dark and action packed and lacks the melody and romance which the first two films showcased well. Obviously the story has developed and the audience has grown up from the start of the franchise but it feels like this one is huge change from first two films and could've been a whole new franchise on its own. The trailer is all about Hrithik and the VFX graphics which should've been expected since he does play Krrish and matches the scale and editing of a Hollywood action film. The quality of the VFX is good, not stellar but a huge improvement for Indian Cinema. There is little hint of songs from the trailer with the background score being highly dramatic and reeking of plagiarism from Hollywood. Kangana Ranaut looks amazing in that body suit. Priyanka...? Lol you got even less screen time and looked a little shell shocked. The Roshans probably got annoyed and was like damn, she was in the last one so for continuity purposes she has to be in this, damn. Vivek is not seen just like all of his recent movies are not being seen by the public #burn. Anyways Diwali is going to be good vs evil with Krrish being on #teamgood #teamkrrish.

Don't Say Bollywood - Chapter 4 (Get on the Train Baby before I spam your newsfeed)

Chennai Express promotions are on full blast on twitter thanks to the @utvmotionpictures handle and every news outlet aka Bollywood Hungama writing nonsensical articles on records which the film will attempt to break upon release. In reality though, who cares? The film already has disappointed in the initial trailer and even more the music and left a bad taste for the few remaining fans after the release of Lungi dance. Sure the film may get the widest release ever for Bollywood but shouldn't the quality of content be considered for the audience to enjoy? What's even sadder is that the overload of promotion is coming on the day of the Krrish 3 trailer releasing (today, August 5th). No one really wants to see more exclusive stills from Chennai Express, we'll go see them while we watch the movie. Is UTV nervous that Krrish 3 might already steal their thunder without even releasing a trailer? They probably should be as the buzz is really high on twitter. Anyways, UTV stop spamming news feeds with desperate attention seeking post and let Krrish 3 get its own due.

Don't Say Bollywood - Chapter 3 (Get on the Train Baby)

Get on the Train Baby

Get on the train baby, because if not Shahrukh will force you to get on it and torture you with the Ready Steady Po song on repeat. Obviously, I'm still not over how bad that song is but the rest of the album is ehh I guess I don't mind. Thank god the promotion for this film is not as forceful as Ra.One but that Lungi song is completely unnecessary. I've gotten renewed hope for the film after watching Bol Bachchan on Netflix so all hopes riding on the comedy of Rohit Shetty but not looking forward to see how much more Shahrukh will try to not act his age by romancing Deepika and then overacting in the other scenes. Honestly, I hope this is one of the last romantic films by Shahrukh because dude you're getting old too for this. Deepika probably signed this film because of getting to work with Rohit Shetty and not Shahrukh because I bet even she's creeped out by doing the touchy nose cutesy thing in Titli.

Anyways people will obviously rush to see the film because of the star power and reputation which the film carries so I'm expecting 90% to 100% capacity on opening weekend. The comedy looks average so probably 120 crore gross overall.
