Best of Bollywood 2012 - Biggest Musical Disappointment
The recognition for Big Music Disappointment of 2012 is given to the Film Soundtrack which failed to live up to the expectations set by the history of the music associated with the Actors, Producers and most importantly the music directors of the film.
#5 - Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi (Jeet Ganguly)
Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Farah Khan and a revived Jeet Ganguly presented dated music that was a bit annoying to listen to. The bright spot was Khatti Meethi from Shreya Ghoshal despite the musicality being a bit like karaoke.
#4 - Raaz 3 (Jeet Ganguly,Rashid Khan)
The RAAZ franchise is known for great music especially with the backing of Vishesh Films and Emraan Hashmi. Sadly, the songs were not anything special like the last films and failed to haunt the listeners.
#3 - Dangerous Ishhq (Himesh Reshammiya)
The songs for Karisma's comeback was not that bad if it was released 10 years but it was the length and the excessive loops in the background that disappointed Himesh fans as this was also the start to his comeback in music.
#2 - Tezz (Sajid-Wajid)
TEZZ had one good song while the others were atrocious to mediocre. The melody mass music makers Sajid-Wajid missed big time in creating hit music as the songs were uninspiring.
#1 - Joker (G.V. Prakash Kumar, Gaurav Dagaonkar)
First big miss for Joker's music was that G.V. Prakash Kumar is A.R. Rahman's nephew?! Yes he made this crap called music with Shrish Kunder as lyricist. The one decent song was Kafirana which was composed by Gaurav Dagaonkar. Sing Raja was pure stupidity, Jugnu was a waste of Udit Narayan's talent, and Yeh Joker was a big bore. Shrish Kunder didn't follow up JAAN-E-MANN well with JOKER's bad music and that's why it is the biggest music disappointment of 2012.
Just Missed the list: Ferrari Ki Sawari (Pritam)
