Bol Bachchan - Music Review
Music by: Himesh Reshammiya, Ajay-Atul
The album starts with the title song which has an annoying dialogue introduction, however, the song picks up as Amitabh Bachchan starts singing. The composition itself is simple by Himesh Reshammiya but the hook is catchy and makes the song enjoyable.
The second song in the album, Chalao Na Naino Se, is the best of the album sung by Himesh Reshammiya himself and Shreya Ghoshal. The song has a nice dhol and cacophony of flutes. The song is very massy and could catch on quickly on the airwaves. The pair of Himesh and Shreya works wonderfully as always.
Nach Le Nach Le is by guest composers Ajay-Atul and sung by Sukhwinder Singh and Shreya Ghoshal. The songs starts nicely with a saxophone solo but as the rhythm picks up the song becomes a little messy with Sukhwinder Singh not being able to keep up the fast pace. The violins in the hook is nice but is overpowered by the dhol.
Jab Se Dekhi Hai by Mohit Chauhan is typical Mohit Chauhan and is not very enjoyable as it falls in the predictable instrumentation by Himesh Reshammiya. The piano and violin interludes keeps the song at pace but does not prevent the song into being categorized as below average.
Overall, listen to Chalao Na Naino Se for the massy return of Himesh and Bol Bachchan for the rarity of listening to Amitabh sing. Average.
Bol Bachchan - 7/10
Chalao Na Naino Se - 8/10
Nach Le Nach Le - 6/10
Jab Se Dekhi Hai - 5/10
Overall - 6.5/10
